How the spring sprung

If you look back through the archives of this blog you will notice that all the birthday parties were hosted at our house.  We loved our house....but there was one particular house in town that would encourage us to relocate if it ever became available on the market as was within our means. Well, one day I was running on the Creeper Trail and noticed a for sale sign in the backyard.  I was so excited to tell David the house we really liked on the trail was for sale.  We looked into it, decided it was out of our price range and went about our merry way.  Then......a friend called and said the 'white house' has dropped their listing price you should go and take a look.  David and I tossed around the idea and decided, why not, let's go and see what it looks like.  We loved it and loved the location even more.  It sits atop a 2 acre hill in the golf course community, Winterham.  The property runs right along mile one of the Creeper Trail and over looks the green of hole number eight and the tee box of hole number nine.  After many weeks of negotiating the house is ours!!  I don't have any pictures of the house but I will take some and post at a later date.  I just wanted to journal some of the things we did over the spring while waiting on the house to close and for the move in date.  In the meantime we have had to list our current home.  The housing market is terrible here like it is all over the nation.....we had to wait and wait and show and show.  It is no easy task to show a house at the drop of a hat with two small children and a dog.  I got really good at spot cleaning on a moment's notice!  More on the sale of the house later.....
