Just stuff.

My beautiful anniversary flowers. Playing with the water squirters. Hunter always one to keep it safe in the life vest. Chloe did have hers on but she got "too hot."

First trip back to the pool.

Hunter dancing on the tressel. He moves like his daddy!

One of our first family runs in our new Bob duallie. It is great. Hunter loves the company and Lucas usually just sleeps. David's load just keeps getting heavier and heavier.

This day Hunter decided he wanted to run. So we let him...and he ran for 1.5 miles. We couldn't believe it and he was so pround of himself! He crashed on the couch and took a 3 hour nap after this adventure too.

One of Hunter's favorite things to do is to take a trip up the Creeper Trail to the cow farm and chat it up with the cows. He usually runs or rides in the bike buggy. This time Chole accompanied him and loves posing for pics! She is such a ham!

Really tired after a bike ride. He usually says, "I need to rest a little bit, please."

Super fast over the tressel and I just realized he isn't wearing his helmet. I am going to have to ask David about that.

Lucas's 10 week mug shot!

Little bit of happiness!

Lucas is the happiest little baby! We have enjoyed every minute of him. In these pictures he was having the best time watching me put up laundry while big brother was finishing up a much needed nap!
I think he is going to have a great big ole belly laugh one of these days.

The boys

Play time on the porch.
Abby was licking Cheerios off the top of Lucas's head.

Hunter thought this was the funniest thing, Lucas had know idea what just happened!

Asking which book Lucas would like to read.

Reading to Lucas about tractors. Lately Hunter's imagination has just taken off and he really enjoys playing with his toys.....by himself. I can overhear him talking to his blocks, or trucks or animals and he is having the best time. It is nice to see him entertain himself and be so creative.

Play time!

Hunter's new sun hat.

Another fav place to sleep...his bouncy chair, wrapped up in what used to be Hunter's favorite baby blanket...sniff, sniff.

Uncle Kevin and Linden visit!

Little Miss Linden. She has gotten so big!
One of her favorite things to do. She was too little to take for a spin, but Hunter had a great time showing her how all the buttons work.

She was trying to turn the key!

Yeah, we got a wonderful visit from Kevin and Linden this week. It is amazing how fast a year goes by. I can't believe little Linden is already 1 year old. She is a happy and very sweet little girl that I wish we got to see more often. Hunter had fun showing off all his tractors and his little brother.

Things we do

My Mother's Day present. My garden last year was overtaken by Hunter's swing set so David and Hunter built me another garden. We planted squash, cukes, peppers, green beans and tomatoes.
Hunter helping me trim the shrubbery around the house. I cut and he loaded it up and took it to dump in the woods! He is a fantastic out doors helper.

My cuties! They are both getting so big.

Lucas takes many naps in the baby jogger while Hunter and I play outside.

Getting ready for a bike ride with Daddy!

Thank goodness for Hunter's gator. Little fellow gets less attention these days, but he doesn't seem to mind as long as he can get outside and explore the backyard in his gator. The guys building the house next door get a kick watching him make laps and laps around the house.

First trip to Pilot Mountain!

Hunter is showing Shelton how the keys turn to start the Polaris.
Aunt Jenny and Lucas. I think the porch swing tuckered him out!

All three grand babies at Granny's house.

Trying to stike a pose with all four great grand babies.

Helping Papa fix the tractor. Hunter LOVES tractors and big machinery. He could have worked on this tractor all day long.

Lucas getting some Granddaddy time.

Hunter loves his Granddaddy!

Papa is great at getting Lucas to fall asleep! This is one of his favorite spots to take a nap.

Grandma with baby Lucas. Thankfully, he was really good and she got to hold him for quite some time. He is almost as big as she is!

Starting to smile!

Playing school. I will let you guys decide who was the teacher.

I painted Chloe's toenails and then Hunter wanted his painted. I convinced him that boys don't paint their toenails, but he could help dry them with the blow dryer!

We had great trip home for the first time with Lucas. Okay, maybe great is a stretch, only because it was a short trip trying to see some many folks. Lucas wasn't a big fan of the carseat and a 2 hour ride can really test one's nerves. Poor Hunter kept shouting, "Lucas I can't hear!"

Just some Pics!

One of his favorite spots in the house is the bathroom. It has a heater and stays nice and toasty for bathtime!

Hunter deciced to put all his tractors around Lucas to play...so he could 'just look at them.'

He does have his own look. I think he is about 6 weeks in this pic! Gotta love that hair!

Weeks 4-8!

Asleep in the Ergo close to mommy, just the way he likes it!
Hunter is always wanting to hold him, Lucas does his best with this.

Little miss Happy! Meet Olivia our cousin. She and her mom and daddy came for a visit. She is so cute and oh so much fun! Can't wait to play again!

Okay, so I am a little slower to blog these days. I feel like the weeks are just zipping by and I can't believe our little Lucas turned 8 weeks old yesterday. We haven't been up to too much excitement, just the punches that roll with balancing our family of 4. David is back at work full time and the boys and I have had several days and nights alone. Some days and nights are better than others, but we are setteling in to a rountine of sorts and Hunter is a big help. It is hard to rely on a 2 year old for help, but these days mom is more tired and he is having to earn his keep!

It is amazing how fast Lucas is growing and changing. Unfortunately, we had a sick visit last week for a nagging cough and he is already up to 13.5 pounds. He is doing much better and the cough is gone! We all took turns in this household with a nasty cold. Poor Hunter and David took the brunt of it with Hunter having croup and David with a nasty cold and cough. For now we are germ free and we hope to keep it that way. Lucas has started to impress us with cute little smiles and the occasional roll over. Hunter thinks this is hilarious and tries extra hard (sometimes too hard...and Lucas ends up crying) to get him to smile. You can already see that Hunter is Lucas's main attraction. His eyes will search all over the room to find where his voice is coming from. I hope they are going to be the best of friends. Hunter already refers to him as his best buddy.

David and I are doing well and trying to survive some of the longer days and nights. We have even managed to squeeze some running back into our lives. We have a double running stroller now and it has been a blessing to take the boys out for runs, even if it is only for 30 minutes. Most of the time David pushes the stroller, but I am proud to say that I took them for a run solo yesterday and managed to push them just fine. Yes, I am going at a snail's pace and Hunter is yelling ,"go mommy, go" for encouragement!
