Presents!!!

These two pictures are the Before!!! We just love, love getting everything ready for Santa and this year we were so happy to have David at home to help.

Night shift David putting together the playhouse.

Chloe and Aunt Jenny having fun on Christmas morning.

So happy with her new Nintendo DS!

Step away from Hutner while opening presents. At this age I don't think they can get enough, what a tough lesson to teach!

Checking out his new castle from Santa. Hunter is really into princes, princesses, magic castles, and sword fighting.

Lucas checking out his present from Santa.

catching up

Yes, I do like to cook and I think in this picture I must be getting ready for Christmas. We had a wonderful Christmas and I can't believe I am just now blogging about it...so here is the Wikipedia version as I try once again to get caught up with our lives on here!

Still cooking with my little helper. Hunter is a mad chef as long as he gets to sample just about everything sweet that is made. This little one has taste buds just like his daddy.

Hunter as some of his buddies, Emerson and Evan. We had a little Christmas party with some friends at the house and this is how they looked at about 9pm after an entire evening of play, play, play! Hunter was exhausted.

Feeding time. Hunter tries to be a big help and gets a kick out of Lucas and the bottle. Hunter can get Lucas to eat or do just about anything.

Christmas time at Sinking Springs Preschool

Hunter is in the 3/4 year old classroom and this year in the Christmas play he and his class were angels. I have to say he was the sweetest little angel out of the whole bunch.
Hunter and his BF Adam.

Just a little nervous in front of a crowd of people.

Not the best picture, but I was trying to capture him just licking the icing off the cupcakes. He doesn't eat any part of the cake...just the icing.
Hunter's classroom had a Christmas celebration. We were so lucky to still have the party considering it had been snowing and icing all week. The play was a huge success and I am so thankful that after all the hard work the kids put into it the program director still decided the 'show must go on.' This was the sweetest little Christmas play. I wish I could put up the whole video for you guys to see, but blogger seems to have trouble with videos. Hunter stayed focused and sang along with the rest of his buddies. He had a great time.

Snow!

Living in the mountains means that we are bound to have some snow days. Since moving here the folks keep reminding me that we are having unusual winters. Well, this was our third winter here and we have had snow, snow and more snow each year. I have grown accustomed to the colder weather and so have the kids. Hunter no longer grumbles when he has to put on his puffy coat, snow bibs, hat, gloves, and boots. It is just what you do when you want to go outside. Thankfully, he and Lucas both love sledding so we got to do plenty of that this season. These pictures were Lucas's first experiences outside in the snow. I had ordered him a snowsuit (it hadn't come at this point) that we used throughout the winter. I learned last year with Hunter that if you put them in something warm and comfortable then they will tolerate staying out a bit longer. They still don't last that long, but when the winters are long it does everyone good to get outside and have some fresh air once in awhile!

Let's eat! (or try to eat)

Out to eat. "Where's my drink?"
"oh, good." "There it is!"

When you have small kids going out to eat can be more of a task than fun and relaxing. We usually chose kid friendly and super fast resturants. This is one of our favorites, El Patio. They are quick with a fun atmosphere and Hunter loves Tacos. Most of the time the kids are great, it is daddy who gets a little freaked out if they get a little loud.
really working hard on this one
Lucas likes to eat, but it is a challenge nonehteless. Sometimes Hunter is the best one to feed him so I just let him go for it. They both seem to enjoy it.

next up.......Christmas! Baby Lucas is awake so now it is time to play!

Let's be Silly

At Gaga's house their are pacies in the freezer. I don't really know why they are still in there. She used them for Chloe when she was a baby for bumps and bruises to the mouth so maybe she is hanging on to them for Lucas. Anyway, Hunter and Chloe got a big kick out of being babies around Lucas.
Hunter's turn. They look so ridiculous, especially since none of these kiddos actually took a paci!

Visit with Uncle Kev and Linden!

Another Simmons car fanatic! Boy am I in trouble. I guess it will always be 3 against one when it comes time to talk cars.

I think Lucas always knows when the camera is pointed his way.

Learning to eat at Gaga's.
