Sleepyheads
These guys love each other. They have been sleeping together for weeks now. I crept upstairs and snapped a quick picture of my sleeping sweet hearts.
Help in the kitchen
Hunter is hard at work cutting up the vegetables for dinner.
Chef Hunter posing for a picture.
The boys decided that I needed to wear an apron too. Hunter was digging around somewhere and found this one and snapped the picture! Now, back to dinner! I will always love my adorably handsome cooking staff.
Head Chef was Master Lucas. Hunter and Lucas have quite the imagination and they turned cooking with me into a game where Lucas was the chef and he gave orders to Hunter. Hunter did everything Lucas asked him to do. They took orders from "customers" and then came up with dishes to cook for them! Great afternoon of pretend play. LOVE.
Master Lucas telling Hunter which utensil he needs to prepare the next meal.
End of summer Lake TRIP!
Hello Leigh Ann and Rob! Fun day out on the lake before the kids had to go back to school. The Hitches' bought our pontoon boast last summer and we all enjoyed taking it back out on the lake again. The lake is so beautiful and it is a nice alternative when all parks and pools have been exhausted. The water was comfortable but you can tell we live in the mountains because the last days of summer are much cooler!
Kiddos didn't mind the cooler mountain air. They loved the boat ride! Yippppeeeeee!
Faster, faster they always scream!
Here go the little ones. Lucas did not want to ride at first, but someone must have talked him into it. Of course, he loved every minute of it!
Wonderful day spent with some wonderful friends. These are some of the best memories. I hope the boys will look back at these pictures and remember how much fun we all had.
2nd Tennis Tournament
We are a fortunate bunch over here at the GCC. We have a great youth tennis program with a spectacular kids tennis coach, David Poole. In our limited experience in athletics with the kids we have found that having a good coach makes all the difference in the type of experience you have. Hunter loves tennis and has learned the game and skill set to play with Coach Poole. He hosts a few tournaments for the kids so they have the opportunity to play the game and use the skills he has taught them in practice. These pictures are from Hunter's second tennis match. A great effort was given by everyone!
Very, very proud of him and his third place finish in the tournament! Way to go buddy!

Let's go to the POOL
After moving into the GCC neighborhood trips to the pool became much more frequent. All the kids love to go and so many of our friends join in on the fun. It is a great way to play outside and make memories of summertime fun! Chloe loves to swim and is an excellent swimmer! She must take after her Uncle David!
Lucas riding his 'surf board!" Thanks to a great daddy who plays in frigid pool water while mom hangs out on the steps in the nice warm sun!
Notice there are no floaties. This little man started swimming this year without them. It is more like a modified version of drowning. He has a mean doggie paddle while holding his head straight up out of the water looking toward the sky. His technique is hard to describe. Picture every part of his body underwater except for his nose and mouth. I'm still not sure how he managed to pull it off. Hopefully, next summer he will have the confidence to put his whole head under water and SWIM!
Another great daddy that will play in the water with the kiddos so moms can sit in the nice warm sun.
Piggy back swimming is always fun!
Another fun summer at the pool!
