Little bits of here and there

Hunter showing Lucas how to write an H.

Bedtime with daddy.

Bathtime with the boys. It was so much easier to bathe the boys when Lucas was steady enough to sit in the tub. They both love this time together and I love that I only have to do the bath thing once!

David HATES when they suck on thier bath cloths. I have decided to just let this one go, it is a NEVER ENDING struggle and not worth the effort. Oh well, don't we all chose our battles?

Hunter still takes an afternoon nap. When he wakes up he needs a little time to himself. Around the Simmons household we know to leave him alone for about 15 minutes and then he will be good to go. One day we found him hanging out in the diaper box.

Come here Abby!!

Lucas is not walking yet in any of these pics, but he pulls up on everything. The easel is one of his favorites and he loves trying to do all the things he sees his big brother doing.

Which one do I choose?

"The little blue ones are my favorite!"

A little Yo-Sims and Christmas

We didn't have to worry about the house catching fire.

Sweet Eli is getting so big.

Uncle Kev really excited about his new Shake weight from big brother Dave!

Christmas with Granddaddy

This is Lucas opening up his pocket watch. A very special gift that Granddaddy has given to each of our boys.

Each year Norman gives the kids a collectors pocket knife. They come in a beautiful case with a dollar silver piece. They are beautiful and Hunter is fascinated with them. They are kept in our gun cabinet and one of Hunter's favorite quite things to do with Daddy is to take out all the knives and look and talk about them.

Little Santa Lucas. The outfit is ridiculous and I would have never bought one myself...but when you put it on them when they are so little they look so sinkin cute!

Everybody loves Granddaddy's lap!!!

Random Cuteness

Sharing a chew bone with Abby. I can't tell you how many I have gotten out of his mouth. They must help with teething.

So much snow around, still waiting for spring and some better weather. We spend lots of time in the house but we all have a wonderful time together.

I think he is eating a cupcake left over from a baby shower I co hosted. I am sure there weren't any crumbs left. He is afterall a sweet toothed Simmons baby!

Today was a day that we made lots and lots of Christmas ornaments and holiday crafts. Hunter loves to do projects and I do too...but the little one wants to help so it can be quite the challenge to keep him occupied with other activites.

This is an activity easel that I keep in the kitchen. Hunter loves to draw and work on his letters and numbers while I cook or do some of the other billion household chores. Lucas found a new use for it-a walker. He wasn't walking at this time but he found a way under the easel, pulled himself up and took off around the house! What a great idea for a 9 month old.

Chloe entertaining Lucas before dinner.

I think he looks guilty of something in this picture. He was probably plotting a way to get behind the fireplace screen. One day Hunter cried out, "Mommy, look at Lucas!" When I looked up Lucas was sitting inside the fireplace kicking and hitting the fireplace screen from the inside and laughing it up the whole time. This baby keeps me on my toes. Thank goodness sweet Hunter is always helping me keep up with him!

Not sure what they are watching and Hunter looks like he smells something terrible.

Chloe getting some Lucas Santa love! She is so sweet with him.

Presents!!!

These two pictures are the Before!!! We just love, love getting everything ready for Santa and this year we were so happy to have David at home to help.

Night shift David putting together the playhouse.

Chloe and Aunt Jenny having fun on Christmas morning.

So happy with her new Nintendo DS!

Step away from Hutner while opening presents. At this age I don't think they can get enough, what a tough lesson to teach!

Checking out his new castle from Santa. Hunter is really into princes, princesses, magic castles, and sword fighting.

Lucas checking out his present from Santa.

catching up

Yes, I do like to cook and I think in this picture I must be getting ready for Christmas. We had a wonderful Christmas and I can't believe I am just now blogging about it...so here is the Wikipedia version as I try once again to get caught up with our lives on here!

Still cooking with my little helper. Hunter is a mad chef as long as he gets to sample just about everything sweet that is made. This little one has taste buds just like his daddy.

Hunter as some of his buddies, Emerson and Evan. We had a little Christmas party with some friends at the house and this is how they looked at about 9pm after an entire evening of play, play, play! Hunter was exhausted.

Feeding time. Hunter tries to be a big help and gets a kick out of Lucas and the bottle. Hunter can get Lucas to eat or do just about anything.
