Yeah, we got a wonderful visit from Kevin and Linden this week. It is amazing how fast a year goes by. I can't believe little Linden is already 1 year old. She is a happy and very sweet little girl that I wish we got to see more often. Hunter had fun showing off all his tractors and his little brother.

Uncle Kevin and Linden visit!
Things we do
Thank goodness for Hunter's gator. Little fellow gets less attention these days, but he doesn't seem to mind as long as he can get outside and explore the backyard in his gator. The guys building the house next door get a kick watching him make laps and laps around the house.
First trip to Pilot Mountain!
We had great trip home for the first time with Lucas. Okay, maybe great is a stretch, only because it was a short trip trying to see some many folks. Lucas wasn't a big fan of the carseat and a 2 hour ride can really test one's nerves. Poor Hunter kept shouting, "Lucas I can't hear!"
Just some Pics!
Weeks 4-8!
Okay, so I am a little slower to blog these days. I feel like the weeks are just zipping by and I can't believe our little Lucas turned 8 weeks old yesterday. We haven't been up to too much excitement, just the punches that roll with balancing our family of 4. David is back at work full time and the boys and I have had several days and nights alone. Some days and nights are better than others, but we are setteling in to a rountine of sorts and Hunter is a big help. It is hard to rely on a 2 year old for help, but these days mom is more tired and he is having to earn his keep!
It is amazing how fast Lucas is growing and changing. Unfortunately, we had a sick visit last week for a nagging cough and he is already up to 13.5 pounds. He is doing much better and the cough is gone! We all took turns in this household with a nasty cold. Poor Hunter and David took the brunt of it with Hunter having croup and David with a nasty cold and cough. For now we are germ free and we hope to keep it that way. Lucas has started to impress us with cute little smiles and the occasional roll over. Hunter thinks this is hilarious and tries extra hard (sometimes too hard...and Lucas ends up crying) to get him to smile. You can already see that Hunter is Lucas's main attraction. His eyes will search all over the room to find where his voice is coming from. I hope they are going to be the best of friends. Hunter already refers to him as his best buddy.
David and I are doing well and trying to survive some of the longer days and nights. We have even managed to squeeze some running back into our lives. We have a double running stroller now and it has been a blessing to take the boys out for runs, even if it is only for 30 minutes. Most of the time David pushes the stroller, but I am proud to say that I took them for a run solo yesterday and managed to push them just fine. Yes, I am going at a snail's pace and Hunter is yelling ,"go mommy, go" for encouragement!

Weeks 2 and 3!
Life here is getting as close to normal as you can get with a newborn in the house. I can't remember if I mentioned in the previous posts that Lucas had a cold for the first week of life! It was awful and I was so worried, but he is doing much better. For our 2 week check up he had already gained a pound from his birthweight and most of the bruising from delivery is gone. He is doing as well as can be expected with sleeping at night. He is up between every 2-3 hours. Poor little thing has a terrible time with reflux so our feedings take a little longer than ususal. Hopefully, he will out grow this soon. I really think the reflux bothers David and I more than him! He is just a happy little fellow that gags and spits.
Hunter is doing well too. He enjoys being the big boy of the house and has become especially helpful on the days that David works. Without elborating too much, for those of you who know, his tummy issues are getting better so keep your fingers crossed that we are finally headed in the right direction for him!
As for David and I....we are just tired! We are a blessed and tired family!
